MOFs – metal-organic frameworks
are cristals with high porosity
and large surfaces – imagine a sponge.

What are MOFs?

Two grams of MOF can have up to 8000 m² of internal surface equivalent to a large football field.

Due to these properties MOFs have great potential for gas storage, evaporation, adsorption and filtering applications.

Depending on the combination of metal and organic materials – linkers – the pore sizes can be tuned to different uses, tuned MOFs can have very specific properties.

MOFs can be impregnated with metal ions in order to broaden their range of application. Through “click” technology and special shaping MOFs can be functionalized to filter or attract targeted substances and release them under specified conditions.

MOFapps AS are concentrating on materials which are mechanically robust and have thermal stability to meet the requirements for industrial and commercial applications.

MOFapps DRIsorb product Family

The MOFapps DRIsorb family of materials are synthesized through our genuine process.

Depending on the applications we will select appropriate metals and the most suitable linkers to meet specifications. These variations allow us to realize outstanding potential in gas adsorption and mass transfer. The materials provide outstanding stability up to 400°C in air, exceptional mechanical stability for compression and dense packing as well as a unique stability in water and humid environments.

These properties make the DRIsorb family of MOFs ideal for technically robust applications at economically justifiable costs. Scalable and environmentally sound synthesis processes are the basis of these materials.

DRIsorb AL developed for water adsorption and cooling applications

DRIsorb ZR developed for gas adsorption and filtration applications

Our specialists are happy to recommend the right Ui material for your use case.
