Within the framework of ProDia a EC supported consortium within the Horizon 2020 program MOFapps and partners CNRS and AxelOne produced a first large batch of 30kg of HKUST-1 by spraydrying. The use of an industrial spray drier allowed to achieve an excellent yield rate of > 95%.
This test also allowed to determine price points achievable for MOF materials in insustrial environments. The test showed that, produced at larger scale MOFs can be price competitive with activated carbons and zeolites due to scale effects.
