Spray drying
MOF components can be combined in a mist form and dried in appropriate thermal conditions. MOFapps hold exclusive licenses for this synthesis route.
Advantage: Process well-known from other industries (dairy, pharma) controllable and easy scale up.

Water based routes
This “green” synthesis route does not use solvents and is therefore more suitable for scale up and favorable to environment and working conditions. Water based synthesis can be used as a batch process or in flow reactors as a continous process. MOFapps hold licences to produce some of the most powerful MOFs with this “green” technology.

Shaping
In addition to the synthesis routes, shaping of the material is important. In many applications powder material might not be suitable to provide mechanical robustness or to optimize mass or heat transfer. Together with our partners we have developed a number of shaping routes for different appliccations.
Disks

Compression to form disks which can be combined into larger assemblies.
Pellets

Pellets can be used in gas adsorption and filtering applications.
Spheres

Spheres are suitable for water or alcohol adsorption in cooling or heating systems.
Powder

Powder can be applied to fabrics and membranes or included into foam materials.
